Hi there, my name is Alexis Mood.
By day, I’m a marketing manager working in the transportation tech and mobility space. By night, I am Founder/Executive Director of Shatter The Ceiling, a nonprofit that provides grants to black and brown women doing unpaid and underpaid summer internships. Each year, we award $1000 grants to offset the cost of housing, airfare or general living expenses.
To date, Shatter The Ceiling has been completely self-funded. As such, funds typically go toward programming and there’s not usually a lot left over for training and development opportunities like Adcolor.
While I'm very proud of the work we’ve done so far, the organization is at a point where professional development and building relationships with like-minded professionals is essential to getting to the next level, and sponsorship from Google would help us get there.
